DIVE SHELTERED BY THE NIGHT’S DARKNESS
As a Night Diver your activity starts when everyone else is heading home from the beach. The sun goes down and you patiently wait, geared up, for the order to enter the water. Your tank glows with a luminous signal that will help you be identified in the dark and in your hand you carry a torch. Once in the water you’re surrounded by darkness, but as son as you turn on your torch everything lights up. Like astronauts in outer space, here lies a new world for you to discover.
The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal life forms emerge. If you’ve wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, sign up for the PADI Night Diver Specialty course. You’ll be able to spot predators searching for prey and really appreciate colours you’d never seen there before. That’s why night dives are so popular among Underwater Photographers. No need to use filters, just your flashlight, to rescue the true colours of the seabed.
Night Diving is described by the majority of expert divers as the most spectacular and exciting type of dive. Would you dare to become a Night Diver?
