DIVE DRIFTING WITH SEA CURRENTS
Can you imagine…the feeling of flying at speed along the seabed?…covering great distances without moving a fin?…enjoying the marine performance happening right before your eyes?
The PADI Drift Diver Specialty course teaches you how to enjoy going with the flow as you scuba dive in rivers or sea and use currents to glide along. It feels like flying – except that you’re underwater using scuba equipment. Drift diving can be both relaxing and exhilarating at the same time. Staying close to your buddy and establishing perfect communication with eachother & the boat are safety imperatives.
We have found the perfect place to practice this specialty in La Herradura; there are medium intensity currents at La Punta de la Mona. We’ll teach you to safely manage and enjoy high speed diving!
- Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent).
- A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
- Theoretical modules where you’ll learn Drift Dive planning and organization; you’ll acquire the necessary abilities & aptitudes while learning about dangers related to this speciality. You’ll learn how to use the equipment required for drift diving and to practice bouyancy control, navigation and communication skills while diving.
